چکیده

Abstract As a metal immobilizer, biochar can be used to remediate contaminated soil. Biochar’s effect on the phytoremediation process in flooded conditions under scenario of increasing flooding frequency as global climate change is not well understood. This study investigated bamboo (BBC) effects growth and accumulation Salix multi-metal soil non-flooded versus conditions. cuttings were cultivated pots with severely by Cd Zn, for 120 days, four treatments including treatment, 3% BBC application (BBC/soil, w/w ), addition. BBC, flooding, BBC× significantly decreased bioavailability metals soils ( P < 0.05). The addition markedly stimulated concentration leaves (94.20%) (32.73%) but showed little roots. boosted Zn transport from roots aboveground parts 68.85% 102.27% compared no amendment while showing insignificant changes treatment. Although plant biomass was affected, increased whole 52.53% 28.52% an impact Taken together, enhanced efficiency polluted soil, offset this effect. results indicated varied different moisture, which should considered biochar-assisted variable complex environments. Growing Season Carbon Dioxide Exchange in Flooded Non-Mulching and Non-Flooded Mulching Cotton

There is much interest in the role that agricultural practices might play in sequestering carbon to help offset rising atmospheric CO₂ concentrations. However, limited information exists regarding the potential for increased carbon sequestration of different management strategies. The objective of this study was to quantify and contrast carbon dioxide exchange in traditional non-mulching with f...

Arsenic behavior in paddy fields during the cycle of flooded and non-flooded periods.

The behavior of As in paddy fields is of great interest considering high As contents of groundwater in several Asian countries where rice is the main staple. We determined the concentrations of Fe, Mn, and As in soil, soil water, and groundwater samples collected at different depths down to 2 m in an experimental paddy field in Japan during the cycle of flooded and non-flooded periods. In addit...

Fate of a novel strobilurin fungicide pyraoxystrobin in flooded soil.

Pyraoxystrobin, ((E)-2-(2-((3-(4-chlorophenyl)-1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yloxy) methyl) phenyl)-3-methoxyacrylate) is a novel strobilurin fungicide with excellent and broad spectrum antifungal efficiency. Environmental behaviors of the new fungicide must be assessed to understand its potential risks to the environment. In this study, the extractable residues, bound residues and mineralization, as w...

Heat Transfer in Oil-Flooded Screw Compressors

Thermodynamic efficiency of the compression process in oil-flooded screw compressors depends greatly on the oil-gas heat transfer process. The amount of heat transfer is a function of many parameters such as mode of oil injection, oil inlet temperature, etc. This paper describes a mathematical model to calculate this heat transfer, assuming that the oil is injected in the form of non-interactin...
